WORKPLACE FINANCIAL PROTECTION BENCHMARK

How many Americans own workplace accident insurance?

Locy Ventures is building a maintained benchmark that keeps the human denominator in view and separates reported statistics from calculated and modeled estimates. The more important question is what happens after enrollment.

21.3 million enrolled.

How many protected?

THE WORKFORCE FUNNEL

A transparent model, not a reported ownership count.

No single public source reports a definitive national count of employees enrolled in workplace accident insurance. Locy Ventures therefore built a transparent model from workforce, benefits-access, and employee-reported enrollment inputs.

The 70% participation input applies only to employees who reported that accident insurance was available to them. It is not a claim that 70% of all employees enroll.

THE DENOMINATOR MATTERS

Enrollment is not the same thing as protection.

A person can enroll in a workplace accident plan and still face a gap between a medical event, an eligible claim, a paid benefit, and meaningful financial relief. The benchmark is being built to make that gap visible.

ENROLLMENT

Access exists. An employee enrolls in a workplace accident plan.

PROTECTION

The event is recognized, the eligible amount is paid, and the benefit creates meaningful relief.

THE 21.3 MILLION STADIUM SERIES

Make an abstract population visible.

The series compares the modeled employee population with recognizable football stadiums. The venue creates the human-scale comparison. Locy Ventures provides the research and the question.
